The Doctoral College at the University of Surrey was established to support the academic and professional development of postgraduate researchers and early career researchers and to ensure our world-leading research continues to grow.
The University of Surrey Doctoral College Conference 2018 will take place on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 July.
This is an opportunity to meet other postgraduate researchers and network with staff to learn more about the wonderful support and services available to you as a researcher at the University of Surrey.
A PhD research placement at the British Library provides the chance to experience research in a different environment to that of a university, to engage with a range of research users and audiences, to gain insights into different potential postdoctoral career paths, and to make a tangible contribution to the purposes and programmes of a national library and major cultural organisation.
BFWG Scholarships (Academic Awards) are awarded in competition on the basis of overall academic excellence. In effect they are prizes for outstanding academic excellence. They are not intended to meet financial need.

We are a partner institution in The South East DTC, accredited by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The DTC draws on a rich variety of collaborations in research and in research training across the partner institutions and benefits from advanced training links to other HEIs in the region.
